Consulting Practice

I consult as "The Gray Geek" (http://thegraygeek.com). I've been in the information technology business for 40 years, and I have a wide range of skills and experience. If you are interested in a page with acronyms on it, see the technology pages. I don't feel a need to prove my competence by showering you with acronyms, and many people hire me who prefer to avoid them. I speak and write English very well.

Some background

I retired from the World Bank in Washington, D.C. in 2001 as Chief Technology Officer. During a 26 year career there I held both technical and managerial positions. I'm comfortable in a board room, but love doing technical work too. I take assignments as consultant to senior managers, but I also enjoy technical assignments, helping small businesses.
